Dear Music Friend,

We hope you had a relaxing and refreshing summer filled with lots of good music.

Now that fall is near, the Second Sunday Series is excited to welcome you back to our new season with another program sent to us by the Seattle Ladies Musical Club.  On Sunday, September 8 at 2:00 at Englewood Christian Church we will be presenting their 2019 FRANCES WALTON COMPETITION winners – Julie Huang, piano;  Billy Fang, violin;  and Emiel Cockx, cello  appearing as the Golden Bear Piano Trio.  They will be playing Debussy, Rachmaninoff and Mendelssohn.

The SSS has had a long association with the Seattle Ladies Musical Club, as we have presented the winners of their competition since 2005, and these young musicians have been uniformly outstanding.  Among those musicians are many names that you might recognize:  Danny Helseth, euphonium;  Kevin Krentz, cello;  Mark Babbitt, trombone;  Michael LeFevre, guitar; Julie Finch, soprano;  Michael Partington, guitar;  Jeffrey Brooks, clarinet and many others that have appeared on the SSS independently of the Seattle LMC.  So while we don’t know these folks personally, we know absolutely that this will be a virtuoso concert.
